(1) Tassel Bush

( Grade 7)

The Tassel Bush was spotted by students on an outing outside of Perth, Western Australia. It formed the basis for further examination as curiosity arose with its commonly known name 'bearded heaths'.

Observations were made and a small leave sample taken. Internet research revealed further insight about where the tassel bush occurs in nature and when it flowers. (Tech. and S&E)

Height measurements were taken by several students of different bushes and noted. These were compared with other plant species in the same area. (Maths)

Library research resulted with further information and a short essay covering English. Artistic abilities were covered also with the decoration of their work.
