Western Spinebill

This magnificent little bird visits my window often. I have been told that this bird name is a western spinebill as the name suggests it is found in the  south west of Western Australia. Just look at those brown colours and such perfection across the breast. It's a shy little bird but if you sit perfectly still it will come quite close to you but don't cough or it's gone like lightning. The bird is looking for some nectar from the flowers of the Grevillea bush... more
