Personally I'm not fussed about magpies in my garden as they tend to scare away all the smaller native birds. This magpie visits my mulch heap regularly though and does well with tiny frogs, worms and slugs which it loves eating. When the moon is full many magpies gather in surrounding trees and warble (sing) all night long. They even fly under full moonlight. It is lovely to hear if you don't mind being kept awake half the night... more
