The feathertail glider is Australia's ....... glider and it also was pictured on Australia's ....... coin, the one cent piece, no longer in circulation. They grow to a length of around ......cm including tail and weigh roughly 10g. Even though they're small they can glide as far as 20m in a single leap. Also quite commonly called the pigmy glider, because of its size.

The female can carry up to ........ in her pouch where they will feed on the four nipples. Feathertail gliders live in small groups. Because they are so small and ........., humans rarely see them. During the day they sleep curled up in a nest which may be as high as fifteen metres above the ground. It uses its tail to bring leaves into its nest. They are found along the eastern coastal region of Australia, feeding on blossom nectar, sap and insects.
