South Africa is a country divided into many provinces; Northern Transvaal; Eastern Transvaal; Pretoria, Witwatersrand, Vereeniging (PWV); North West; Orange Free State; KwaZulu/Natal; Eastern Cape; Northern Cape; and Western Cape.

Sights of interest are the Drakensberg escarpment 3,350 metres (11,000 feet) above sea level, interior lakes such as Etosha Pan, Lake Ngami, and the Okovango Delta. The semi-arid Karroo gives way to the Kalahari and Namib deserts. Amazing rivers are the Orange, Vaal, Limpopo, and Tugela. Large dams like the Hendriik Verwoerd and the P.K. Le Roux, are both used to irrigate large areas of the southern Cape for agriculture. South Africa is rich in wildlife like the lion, the leopard, cheetah, antelope, monkeys, crocodiles, iguanas, snakes, elephant and rhinoceros.
