Bangladesh is one of
the world's most densely populated nations and covers an area of 143,998 square
kilometres (55,598
square miles) and borders India on the west,
north, and northeast; Myanmar (Burma) on the southeast; and the Bay of
Bengal on the south. Bangladesh is divided into five regions; the Ganges
Delta, the Paradelta, the East-Central plains, the Sylhet Hills, and the
Chittagong region. The Keokradong Hill is the highest peak 1,230 metres (4,034 feet).

655 square kilometres (253 square miles). The main rivers are Ganges (Padma),
Brahmaputra (Jamuna), Meghna. Their major language is Bengali (official).
