Bhutan lies along the towering
ridges of the eastern Himalayas. India borders it on the east, south, and west,
and the Chinese region of Tibet lies to the north. Bhutan is divided into three
regions; the Great Himalayas, the Lesser Himalayas, and the Duars plain.
Dzongkha is the official language of Bhutan. The area of this magnificent
country is 47,000 square kilometres (18,150 square miles).
