Beautiful Portugal
with its hills and mountains which form the western edge of the Iberian
Plateau. Colourful gardens in Central Park, Barcelos, are a delight to
see, or check out the delightful Cavado River. Visit the walls and ramparts of the town of Obidos and
be pleasantly surprised by its history. Although some regions are rugged,
barren, and sparsely populated it is an adventure to visit Portugal. Rich
in culture and history a must see for every person heading into that
direction.
Lisbon is an enjoyable
city mixed with modern and ancient cultures. The Castle of St. George,
Lisbon's oldest monument is still standing proud. The Bairro Alto, is also
a popular spot. The Museum of Ancient Art, the Municipal Museum, and the
Gulbenkian Foundation Museum are not to be missed if you want to taste
Portugal's fine art.
