Sweden is the largest
of the Scandinavian countries in Northern Europe and bordered by Norway
and Finland. The Gulf of Bothnia lies on the east and the Baltic Sea lies
on the southeast and south. It is separated from Denmark by the Kattegat
and the Oresund, which connect the Baltic and North seas.
Swedish history is
worth reading about, beginning with the Vikings. An interesting natural
feature is Kjolen, a mountain range, with Mount Kebnekaise being the
highest peak. Tourism plays a major role in Sweden and the people are
friendly and helpful.
