Ukraine was in the
limelight for the Chernobyl nuclear disaster which led to the
contamination of many parts of the Ukraine. Now becoming a well liked
tourist destination with places to visit such as Yalta on the Crimea
Peninsula, Carpathians and Crimean mountain ranges, and cities such as
Kiev, Khar'kiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, and Odessa. Ukrainian is the
official language but Russian is also spoken.
