The stunning, tropical
island of Guam lies in the Pacific Ocean about two thirds of the way
between Honolulu and Manila. Due to its strategic position Guam serves as
an air and naval base for the US. History tells that the Portuguese
navigator Ferdinand Magellan landed on one of the Marianas, presumably
Guam, in 1521. Beautiful coral reefs surround the coastal areas making
Guam a delightful tourist destination.
